October 19, 2022

The International Fresh Produce Association’s annual conference – the Global Produce and Floral Show, this year October 27-29 in Orlando, Florida – is the industry’s best opportunity to interact with the entire fresh produce and floral supply chain. Reveam is looking forward to seeing old friends and making new connections among the +23,000 visitors from more than 60 countries who attend. The 2022 edition is especially exciting, as it’s the first time the event will be held in person since the end of the Covid-19 pandemic.

We’re also always interested in checking out the latest trends and best practices from our dynamic food-safety sector, and we’ll be on hand to explain the many advances that Reveam has made in the past year, as well. Here are some of the topics that we’ll be looking to check out this year:

Managing Produce Safety

First and foremost, we’ll be observing conference sessions and tradeshow-floor innovations related to managing produce safety. A number of speakers will be addressing the subject, on topics ranging from “Managing Produce Safety Pressure: Achieving Your ROI Anywhere in the Supply Chain” which is an area of particular import to Reveam. The balance between managing food safety while keeping an eye on the bottom line is a priority investment area for us.

Climate Change and Sustainability

At Reveam, we’re proud that our Electronic Cold-Pasteurization™ (ECP™) solution uses no chemicals and creates no harmful byproducts, while also reducing food waste – all factors that contribute to a more sustainable food chain ecosystem.

At the conference, the Fresh Produce Research Center will give a session on how to make “operations more sustainable from IPM and regenerative ag, to carbon accounting and sustainable packaging.” We’re also interested in a number of sessions that relate to how organizations can best describe their organizational sustainability achievements and plans for the future, such as “Sustainability: Beginning the Journey and Telling Your Success Story.”

Food Safety Community

The IFPA conference is always an unparalleled opportunity for us to meet up with our peers working on the same challenges, and make new contacts. Each sub-sector of the industry has its own dedicated community time, and we’re looking forward to the reception for “Celebrations and Conversations: Science, Technology and Food Safety.”

At the reception, the esteemed Science and Technology Circle of Excellence award will be presented.

Fresh Ideas Showcase

This section of the event highlights the newest and most innovative products and services on display at the conference. Exhibitors are invited to showcase their products, all of which are automatically entered into a competition for jury-chosen awards such as “Best Overall Product Demo,” and “Best Sustainable Packaging.”

While there are multiple categories of showcases including products and services marketed as organic, floral product development and on-the-go products that serve consumers’ interest in eating healthier while on the move, at Reveam we’re most interested in the showcase on technology innovations, which will highlight novel approaches to managing food waste, food safety, logistics and other issues relevant to our sector.

Hope to see you in Orlando!
