Former ProNova executive bringing 25+ years of product and complex system engineering experience to commercialize and scale ScanTech’s innovative Electronic Cold-Pasteurization™ (ECP™) System

(Atlanta, GA) | July 20, 2020 – ScanTech Sciences’ announced today that Jeff Pelletier will serve as Chief Technology Officer/SVP of Engineering, reporting to Chief Executive Officer, Dwayne House. In this role, Pelletier will be responsible for leading the Company’s technology strategy and development including overseeing R&D innovations and all product and system engineering of its pioneering Electronic Cold Pasteurization™ (ECP™) food treatment systems.

Jeff brings over 25 years of experience to ScanTech Sciences from various leadership positions in engineering and technology sectors where he delivered numerous complex, software-controlled electromechanical devices from concept through commercialization. Prior to joining ScanTech, Pelletier served as Vice President of Research & Development for ProNova Solutions, a best-in-class proton therapy system for cancer treatment. In this position, Pelletier was responsible for the design, development and launch of a next-generation superconducting proton therapy system from concept to commercial launch, under aggressive timelines and budget constraints.

In addition to his proton therapy experiences, Pelletier previously held leadership positions at GE Healthcare and Hospira, where he held various senior roles responsible for program management, product development and engineering for market-leading medical devices and systems including infusion pumps, diagnostic imaging systems, and healthcare IT software systems.

Pelletier, who will be based in Atlanta, holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on electronics and software development, and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
