Richard Kowalczyk, PHD

President and Chief Technology Officer, AcceleRAD

Dr. Kowalczyk brings (20) years of experience in high-tech engineering and manufacturing, with deep expertise in RF amplifiers, electron beam technologies, and advanced industrial applications. Over the course of his career, he has developed RF amplifiers for radar, communications, and accelerator systems, and has worked on electron beam applications ranging from semiconductor lithography to radiation oncology systems.

Prior to joining AcceleRAD, Dr. Kowalczyk served as Chief Technology Officer at Elve, where he helped lead the company’s growth from a small early-stage team through first product delivery and into volume production of high data-rate communication amplifiers. He currently serves as an advisor and member of the board of directors for Elve.

Dr. Kowalczyk holds 12 patents in electron beam technology. He earned a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences from the University of Michigan.
