Accelerator Engineer

ScanTech is seeking an Accelerator engineer to assist in the design and optimization of linear accelerator (LINAC) devices, conducting tests and experiments, analyzing and interpreting experimental data and interacting with in-house technical and engineering staff to support the design, construction and operation of the company’s world-class Electronic Cold-Pasteurization (ECP™) facilities. The position of Accelerator engineer will report to the Vice President of R&D and will support STS’s engineering and capital projects team. The candidate will be expected to participate in all phases of the project cycle, including but not limited to design, construction, manufacturing, installation, testing, experimentation, commissioning and follow-up support of its operational, manufacturing and research and test facilities on an as needed basis.

Senior Accelerator Engineer

Senior Nuclear Engineer

ScanTech is seeking a Senior Nuclear Engineer to provide nuclear physics and operational support for Electronic Cold-Pasteurization (ECP) of produce as well as company R&D efforts supporting this technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for physics support including MCNP calculations, product dose modeling, assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance of accelerator systems (including trend analysis), and advancing operational reliability by solving a variety of nuclear engineering problems such as those related to high dose materials and radiation damage. This individual will also perform research to collect nuclear data to assist in the development of future applications and designs.
The position of senior nuclear engineer will report to the Vice President of R&D and will support STS’s engineering and capital projects team. The candidate will be expected to participate in all phases of the project cycle, including but not limited to design, construction, manufacturing, installation, testing, experimentation, commissioning and follow-up support of its operational, manufacturing and research and test facilities on an as needed basis.
